Finishing strong and continuing the pace
WOW! Has this year been flying by or what?! How did you do on those goals or resolutions you set about twelve months ago? Did you get outside? Are you healthier now than back then?

I can say yes to reaching goals, getting outside and better health. However, I’m breaking some of those goals I didn’t accomplish down into smaller chunks as the big chunks can be daunting. I’ll share them with you soon.

In January I made a word of the year. I didn’t know if it’d last the entire year, but “relationship” stuck with us. I chose the word because it’s something I wanted to work on. How are you doing in the face-to-face, personal relationships in your life? Are you there for others? Are you making a difference? Are you sharing the outdoors, traditions, or your time?

It’s the season when people feel stressed, worried and lonely. Many people miss their loved ones and feel the pressure of society and the need to have a “perfect” Christmas. I pray that everyone will have someone to be a blessing in their life. Maybe you can be that blessing for someone who needs that right now.

“When we seek to discover the best in others we somehow bring out the best in ourselves.” – William Arthur Ward

Five Ways to Combat Stress

Have a sense of mission. Get outdoors. Learn something new. Take up volunteering. Be a part of your community. Engage and interact with others. Have faith.
Here’s a treat that you can share as you head to pot-luck gatherings with family and friends. You won’t have to worry about your plate being returned because it’s likely to be licked clean before the end of the party.
The social media world is an interesting machine, but I’m not the only one who thinks you should be following me over there (HA-HA!).
