NO BOYS ALLOWED: FLY FISHING 101 CLASS FOR WOMEN ONLY
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Ladies, learn how to hook a real catch with Colorado Parks and Wildlife during a two-day fly fishing course designed for women only. Beginners are especially encouraged to attend. The course will be held Nov. 15 and 16 and will walk through the basics of fly fishing.
The course will begin with classroom instruction on the 15th and run from 9 a.m. to noon. The classroom portion of the course will be held at CPW’s southeast region office, 4255 Sinton Rd., Colorado Springs.
The following day, participants will get the chance to practice what they have learned on the river below the Pueblo Reservoir dam, 640 Pueblo Reservoir Rd., Pueblo, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fishing rods and flies will be provided. Waders are recommended but not required.
Space is limited and those interested must pre-register at Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Participants will need to purchase a one day or annual fishing license valid for Nov. 16 prior to the 16th. For questions and more information contact Sabrina Hurwitz, at 719-227-5231.
