I’m sharing a good news story about Swarovski Optik because it isn’t often we hear the bright side of things.
Swarovski EL Range Binoculars –
We live out west and hunt in the high country. A good set of “glass” is very important in our neck of the woods. I’ve had Swarovski binoculars for several years. They are durable, waterproof, easy to hold and the clarity is better than any other. If you’ve not used them, you should take a look, or maybe not. Once you go Swaro, you never go back.
Razor-sharp images combined with precise range and angle measurement: The EL Range helps you experience more and enjoy successful hunting.
I’m not sponsored by Swarovski, but I want to share a “good news” story about a positive experience I’ve had with them.
Last fall, during hunting season, there was a day when I was unable to go hunting with my daughter. Rather than shuffle items around from my pack to hers, I sent her with mine.
At the end of the day, she and a friend were carrying items inside. She left my backpack in the back of the pickup. When she went back out to get it, it was gone. Someone had stolen it.
If you’ve never assessed the value of the items in your backpack, you should. When I filed a police report, I was shocked at the value of the items in mine. (Backpack, binoculars, GPS, knives, elk calls, Jet Boil, etc.)
I made a police report about the stolen items and called Swarovski to report the loss. They made note of the theft on the file for my binoculars.
I later received a message from Swarovski. Someone had sent my binoculars in to be polished. Evidently, the person who stole the items took my binos to a pawn shop. The pawn shop sold them on E-Bay and the person who purchased them knew of the Swaro service policy. They sent them in to be cleaned up.
One thing lead to another and Swarovski returned my binoculars to me. E-Bay and PayPal refunded the person’s money, who’d bought them on-line. It’s against Pay-Pal and E-Bay rules to sell stolen items, so they made the refund and will have to go after the seller for reimbursement.
The moral of the story is Swarovski is a great company. Fill out your warranty paperwork and don’t forget to send your binoculars in for regular maintenance. Swarovski stayed on track with my binocular’s and eventually got them back to me, clean, shiny and free of charge.
Thank you, Swaro!
