New Mexico private-land elk, antelope hunting simplified

NMDGF general defaultDear hunters, landowners or outfitters:

The Department of Game and Fish has made it quicker and easier than ever to convert a New Mexico private-land elk or antelope hunting authorization into a license. Starting this year, customers can purchase Private Land Use System (PLUS) licenses online or over the phone.

Here’s what you’ll need:

• An active customer account with the Department, along with a Customer Identification Number (CIN), user name and password.
• The private-land authorization number.
• The private-land ranch number.
• The hunt code and specific hunt dates.
• Credit card or checking account information.

Customers can access or create accounts on the Department website.

Telephone license sales and information are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, toll-free at (888) 248-6866.

License buyers also can purchase authorization licenses the old-fashioned way during regular working hours at Department offices in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Raton, Roswell and Las Cruces.

Detailed instructions for purchasing online are available at:

Once your purchase is complete, you can print your license anytime by logging in to your account and clicking “My Purchases” in the main menu.

If you have questions, please call 888-248-6866.
Thank you,

New Mexico Department of Game and Fish
