If this does not, or has not effected your state, be prepared. Don’t just say “I’m not going to that state.” STAND TOGETHER. Support fellow gun owners.
After six hours of debate yesterday the Colorado house has passed a bill restricting magazine capacity on a voice vote. The recorded vote will be on Monday. They are now debating universal background checks. Read more about it HERE
How will this affect our economy here in Colorado?
According to sources, Magpul has already announced that if this bill passes, they will move their business, employing over 600 Colorado citizens. Numerous outdoorsmen, fishermen, skiers, hikers and hunters have also announced that they will “boycott” the state and hunt in Wyoming or Montana rather than support the state. It is surprising that Colorado would hastily pass these bills when we greatly depend on hunters and tourism.
I asked the question yesterday about where is the education requirement in all of this. I did know the answer, but here is a synopsis a friend gave, which I feel it is right on point.
“I have your answer, Mia. It is because they don’t care one bit about the citizens. This has nothing to do with saving lives or preventing injury. If that were the case, they would be trying to find a way to deal with the mental health problems, the gang problems, the REAL causes of deaths in this country. But it isn’t about protecting and saving lives. It is about control. Not gun control, but citizen control. It is about making it so we cannot defend ourselves from them. It is about violating the constitution and knowing that we will not stand for it so they are taking away our ability to defend ourselves.”
I feel that our government is cramming all this legislation so fast that people’s heads will spin when they wake up, slaves, and realize what happened. Many think it is kind and caring while they don’t even realize the consequences. How could it be a good thing if when they are cramming it through via voice vote late on a Friday afternoon? Then they will do the actual vote Monday. They do this so it doesn’t make the new cycle. People won’t call to express their opinions because they are a weekend away.
Bottom line – We need to keep fighting. You are happy that I keep calling and I keep writing letters, but what are you doing? How are you protecting your children?
WE NEED YOU to stand united in this monumental fight and COME TO THE HOUSE GALLERY on Friday, February 15th to hold your state Representative accountable by making sure they vote NO on these restrictive bills.

Hi Mia, you’re exactly right that solving problems requires one to understand the root causes. Education is a key component to this process and should be debated. Issues like mental health and morality are just a few of the issues influencing criminal behavior. Crime is caused by criminals. We need to figure out better ways to deal with criminals rather than expanding the definition of criminals, especially at the expense of a citizen’s absolute right of self protection. These proposed laws will have no measurable effect on persons committed to murder, rape, and steal from others.
Hello Mia, It amazes me, ney shocks me, ney concerns me, ok all of the above, that you get politicians out there who knows absolutely “nothing” about rape prevention, self protection, self defense, concealed carry, gun safety or marksmanship practices. I have left several suggestions or comments to many of these politicians from Colorado, both on their respective websites and their facebook accounts, after they decided to make erroneous remarks, while attending their state political meetings of recent days, debating the carriage and usage of firearms on college campuses, or in society in general. For those politicians out there who thinks they have their thumbs on the pulse of their constituents, they need to re-think their stand, when it comes to our constitutional rights, and the rights afforded to all Americans by the Second Amendment of that Constitution! There are too many sheep, too many wolves, and not enough sheepdogs to go around to protect those who liken not to protect themselves!…
Thank you for continuing your efforts. At this point, I think they are beyond logic. We need to find ways to “pull at their heart strings” as they are doing with their liberal followers and supporters. It is a struggle, but we can not stop now.
Hey Mia, Thanks for the response… This is difficult to do, when their own respective heart strings are attached to a political puppet-master… And with this, the fight is never done!…
Thanks for all you do Mia!
